Pepi is from Macedonia but has lived in the United States for the last 14 years. He came to Denmark in 2012 for his wife’s work.
In Macedonia he did national service and considered an army career for a while. He decided against this due to the political tensions in the former Yugoslavia at the time. He instead started his own import-export business with clothes and food.
He married his high school sweetheart and at 25 moved to the United States so his wife could pursue further education. He learnt to speak English from scratch while there and went on to complete a college education. He also worked with a non-profit organisation before his son was born and he became a house dad.
He continues to be a house dad in Denmark. He completed his Danish language course in 2015. He intends to remain in Denmark and would also like to find work that would enable him to continue to take care of his son and his wife who has had some health issues.
