Badmus is from Nigeria. He does not talk about his past in Nigeria other than the fact he completed a degree in banking and finance.
He came to Denmark with his wife and daughter in 2012. The five years before were spent in Cyprus where he also met his Bulgarian wife.
In Cyprus he worked doing deliveries for IKEA and also had some other odd jobs. He learnt to speak Greek and was comfortable there until the introduction of the Euro led to a significant increase in the cost of living. This motivated him to look for other options for the future and Denmark was the choice made.
Badmus contracted tuberculous meningitis soon after coming to Denmark and was hospitalised for almost one year. He has since been working as a cleaner while also learning Danish. He would like to do other work but has found not being able to speak Danish a significant barrier.
He would like to remain in Denmark to work and grow his family.
